About Us

Three years ago my wife and I decided to move from Minneapolis back to South Dakota with our 3 kids to be closer to Family. We knew in our hearts this was the move our family needed even though it meant big changes. Not the least of which meant leaving behind my Chiropractic Practice I had poured my heart into and had the chance to meet and care for so many amazing people. Nonetheless we began the process of selling our dream house and my practice and We began figuring out how to start my new practice and our new life.

Then something scary happened COVID.

At the time of course it was scary for everyone but it also meant we were now moving while no one was moving…literally stuck in their homes. But somehow in the worst of times this was going to be a blessing in disguise.

Thankfully we had bought a house that we knew needed some updating and I was going to take about 6 months off from work to remodel as we got settled in our new surroundings. Armed with my wife’s incredible ability to design and me Having grown up in my Grandpas lumber yard and around all the houses he and my dad had built/remodeled I was excited for the change of pace. I could now do my hobby more consistently. It gave me the opportunity to be home with the family and do some remodeling with my wife and dad, while also planning my new Chiropractic options, which thanks to COVID weren’t ideal.

As a month turned into 6 quickly, I had come to find I was getting just as fullfillment if not more with carpentry. And no insurance companies to deal with 😂 All the while posting our home remodel on social media and getting great compliments. Compliments that started turning into requests for help from family and friends and ultimately the community at large.

So 8 months in to a 6 month break 😝 and despite being 8 months in to COVID that was suppose to last 3, my wife and I decided to not look back and shift skill sets and pursue custom carpentry and design full time.

That admittedly was major shift, one that not everyone can understand. But as I sit at the base of Lone Peak Mountain in Montana, 3 years removed from that fateful decision, it’s amazing to process the great opportunities and life changes that decision provided us. Including getting this project in Montana due to Family. Life isn’t always fair, it sure isn’t always easy but it’s a lot easier being around the ones you love and chasing your passions without regrets.
